Apple Orchard

Welcome to our fun, interactive and educational farm tour at Aldor Acres Apple Farm! The purpose of our Apple Farm Tour is for visitors to learn more about apples: planting, growing, picking, eating and even experimenting. Tours last from 60-90 minutes, depending upon the grade level of the students. The Apple Farm Tour makes an excellent field trip for primary and intermediate students as the curriculum is geared to each level.

We welcome families, schools and other organizations- we just ask that you pre-book. A minimum booking of 20 people is requires. Smaller groups may be paired up with others.

Farm Description
Located 1 km east of the historic site , Fort Langley. Our apple trees were planted in the spring of 2000. All of our varieties are scab- resistant, which allows us to grow fungicide-free apples in our wet coastal environment. Grown on dwarf rootstalks, our trees produce large numbers of fruit on an espalier, or post and wire system. Our main varieties are:

LIBERTY- tart, crisp and juicy, similar to a fresh Spartan; late Sept.- early Oct.

FREEDOM- a sweeter variety, great fresh or in pies and sauce; late Sept.- early Oct.

JONAFREE- a Jonagold crossed with a Freedom, crunchy and sweet; mid. Oct.

FLORINA- juicy, crunchy and the best storage apple of the scab-free varieties; mid -late Oct.

We offer pre-picked orders from 5-50 pounds, we just ask that you call ahead.

We are open Labour Day until October 31st- book your Apple Farm Tour or pre-order farm fresh apples TODAY!
